A privacy policy is a document that explains how a company respects your privacy, how it collects information about its customers, what information it stores about its customers, and how that information is ultimately used.
The Information We Collect While You Browse Our Site
When you browse our Web site, we do not acquire any interesting or personally revealing information whatsoever about you. Saddam Hussein, Kim Jong-Il or the entire membership of the Society for Putting Broken Bedsteads Into Ponds could browse this site and we'd be none the wiser. We only maintain a few elementary Web-site statistics which allow us to see how many visitors we have and which sites they came from. Most Web sites have this or a similar feature.
If you add a product to your shopping cart in our 'On-line Store', we will send your computer a 'cookie' which allows us to keep track of your order. Most e-commerce sites (such as Amazon) use this method. Please note that in comparison to some others you'll encounter on the Internet, our cookie is terminally boring. It doesn't allow us to track anything other than your order. Feel free to open it up with NotePad and take a look. It's not like one of those DoubleClick things and neither does it have a link to sextracker.com or other exciting locations hidden anywhere within it. We'd like to offer links to sites about interesting folks such as Gerard Hoffnung, Johann Sebastian Bach and Giuseppe Verdi but haven't yet got round to it. Regrettably we don't offer links to any sites exploring the erotic aspects of the human psyche either, so don't look for links to Madame Whiplash's Naughty Dungeon or wherever.

If you e-mail us or use our contact form, we store only the details that are of immediate use in answering your query. We do not have access to any details you did not explicitly send in your e-mail.
The Information We Collect When You Buy From Our Online Store
If you have chosen items for purchase from our on-line store and you proceed to the checkout, we obviously need the usual tedious items of information.
- Your name.
- Your credit-card number and expiry dates.
- The address associated with your credit card.
- The address to which you want the items to be shipped.
- A list of the products you have ordered.
Unless specified otherwise, these details are sent via our secure server over a secure connection.
Your credit-card number is only used for processing your order. Once your order has been despatched, the record of your number is destroyed. This means that if you choose to buy from us again in the future, you will need to enter the credit-card details again. Being mistrustful sods ourselves who hate giving out one iota more personal information than absolutely necessary, we believe that you will take the view that this minor irritant is a small price to pay for your security.
