Built to Tougher Specifications

Built to last

• XTN Series radios pass a 5ft drop test on to concrete, on all planes of the radio and at extreme temperatures
• The MIL-STD specifications advertised by Kenwood only require a 30in drop test

With Greater Security

• In addition to 38 Interference Eliminator Codes, the XTN Series supports 83 DPL (Digital Private Line) two-way radio codes for a total of 121 codes/channel
• Additional Code settings minimise interference

More Frequencies

• Embodies 56 UHF and 27 VHF two-way radio frequencies to allow for full compatibility with legacy and competitive products

For Longer Use

• New Battery Pack (4.8V NiMH 1500 mAh) delivers 15hr service with 1 Watt models, 13hr with 2 Watt models (based on a 5/5/90 duty cycle)
• All models also accept four AA manganese-alkaline cells, allowing you to operate the radio when you had no time (or just forgot) to recharge the regular NiMH battery
• For emergency back-up or disaster relief operations, AA batteries will yield up to 24hr battery life

With Single Unit Charging

• Plug-in Charger (included with each unit) charges from completely dead to 100% capacity in 10hr
• Optional 10-hour Drop-In Charging Tray also available
• Optional Desktop Drop-In Charger charges from completely dead to 100% capacity in 2hr!

Multi-Unit Charging

• Multi-Unit Charger allows 7hr drop-in charging of six radios or batteries from a single outlet
• Permits use of the new cloning feature to duplicate settings of User & Programming Menus

Scrambling

• All 2 Watt XTN Series radios support three Voice-Inversion Scramble codes per channel
• Other radios, even if on the same frequency and code, will hear only garbled audio if not on the same scramble code

Easier Programming

• All software features are contained in the radios. No special two-way radio-programming software or PC is necessary
• All radios can be managed in the field

Easier Operation

• Large backlit LCD shows current channel and active features
• When user changes channels (or presses the scroll button on single-channel models) the frequency and code assigned to the channel are shown briefly
